Kinnaird Park Community Church is prayerfully seeking a Lead Pastor.
Kinnaird Park Community Church (KPCC) is affiliated with the Fellowship of Evangelical Baptist Churches in British Columbia and Yukon (FEB Pacific), located in Castlegar, B.C. Our church of approximately 65 multigenerational congregants has been in a period of reassessment, restoration and renewal with the help of a transitional pastor. We are now ready to move forward and are inviting applications for a Lead Pastor. A creative and innovative leader who effectively evaluates and implements strategies for genuine church growth and community outreach would be an ideal fit for KPCC. Our minds and hearts are occupied with the growth of Christ’s Kingdom. We want to foster collaborative relationships with other churches in the area to accomplish this work.
The candidate is a man who is discerning the call of God as the Lead Pastor at KPCC. He is Spirit-filled and Bible-believing and in a growing relationship with Jesus. A Christ-like character is evident at home, and his spouse and family are supportive of his calling to lead our Church. He lives a humble, hospitable, transparent and accountable lifestyle. The candidate will be able to preach and teach God’s Word effectively in order to equip the believers. In this we see him as working along with the Elders of the Church in a framework of authority, responsibility and accountability.
KPCC meets in the gymnasium of a former middle school that was purchased and refurbished by the Church in 2004 and uses additional space for Sunday School classes, library and other meeting rooms. Two wings of the building space are currently filled with permanent tenants who run various children’s programs and other Community Service Programs. Administrative support and oversight of the day to day operations of the Facility and Tenants is provided by the Church Administrator with support from the Lead Pastor. Long term Facility Governance/Management is the responsibility of KPCC Board of Governance. The Lead Pastor has the unique opportunity to meet/ build relationships with the community of providers as well as the many children and families who daily come through the doors.
The successful candidate will be in agreement with and adhere to the Statement of Faith of the Church and must be eligible to be credentialed by FEB Pacific. A Seminary or Bible College degree is necessary for application.
