In Jesus’ final words, known as the Great Commission in Matthew 28:16-20, he is clear that his Church is to be busy making disciples of all nations until he returns.

What is a disciple? Here is our definition:

A “disciple” is someone who has, by grace through faith, come to exclusively trust in Christ for salvation, is learning to submit to Jesus’ loving Lordship in every area of their lives, and is graciously helping others to do the same.

As a response to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Kinnaird Park Community Church (KPCC) has adopted this simple mission statement: Making disciples of Jesus in our community and beyond.

Our vision for fulfilling our mission is equally simple. Through relationally driven structure, likened to a vine and its trellis, we will make disciples of our community and beyond by three interrelated practices of heralding the gospel, applying the gospel, and spreading the gospel. These three practices are essential to our ministries as we are not able to apply what we don’t know nor spread what we do not have.

Combined, our mission and vision states that KPCC exists for the purpose of:

Making disciples in our community and beyond … through heralding, applying, and spreading the gospel of Jesus.

Our entire “purpose” is for people to come to know God in Christ and live for his glory in all things and our “priority” is building the gospel into believer’s lives so that they increasingly live as Jesus lived, in every area of their lives, so that through their lives and words they commend the gospel to others.

We have important ways in which we live this out. Continue to explore our website for more information. It is our hope that you will join us in our exciting mission and vision in Castlegar and beyond!
